My manager is: Chief Information Officer My Job is: Installing, configuring and maintaining the Oracle Enterprise Applications and Database systems, handling HPUX and Windows administration and clusters. To provide production support to the TSC Oracle applications and databases. To ensure that appropriate backups are made and databases are secure from corruption or disasters. Installing, configuring and maintaining Oracle tools and utilities, administrating UNIX and windows operating system and databases related networking setups. I spend: 50% of my time providing 2nd/3rd level support, troubleshooting all 3 tiers of Oracle architecture (client, middle and database) 20% of my time Deploying and Maintaining Oracle Applications and Database systems. 10% of my time future requirement planning 10% of my time monitoring systems and performing defect prevention. 10% of my improving my skills, expertise and capabilities I know I’ve done a great job if: I deliver my approved projects and tasks to the agreed quality and timescales. Project and task risks and issues are mitigated and resolve without impacting the delivery of approved projects and tasks. 2nd/3rdsupport is delivered in line with signed off Service Level Agreements New IT services and projects meet the business requirements and are delivered to cost and timescales My capability increases so the requirement for technical skills from external providers is reduced My work uses processes and practices of delivering IT services to the business are in-line with industry best practice Job Details
